Jiangxi Famous Tea Overview

Jiangxi Province is famous for its unique natural conditions and rich tea resources, which have produced a wide range of teas of excellent quality. The following is a brief introduction of several famous teas in Jiangxi Province:

1. Mount Lushan Green Tea

Lushan Green Tea, originating from the Lushan Mountain range in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is a high-quality green tea. It is characterized by fat buds and leaves, many hairs, compact and beautiful appearance, bright green color and luster. After brewing, Mount Lu Green Tea exudes a fresh and long-lasting aroma, with a clear tea broth, a mellow and sweet taste, and good resistance to brewing.

2. Wuyuan Mingmei

Wuyuan Ming Mei is produced in Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province, and is known for its tight, round and straight cords and beautiful appearance. The surface of the dried tea is covered with remarkable white hairs, showing a greenish color. After brewing, Ming Mei tea has a clear soup color, even and complete leaf bottom, strong and long-lasting aroma, fresh and mellow taste, and pleasant fragrance.

3. Gouguzhen tea

Gouguzhen tea is a specialty tea of Jiangxi Province with a history of 300 years. The tea tree grows on a hill that looks like a dog's head, hence the name. Gouguzhen tea leaves are delicate and uniform, the color between turquoise and green, and with a layer of soft white hair. After brewing, the tea is golden and transparent, with a cool and aromatic flavor and sweetness.

4. Jing'an White Tea

Jing'an White Tea is loved for its phoenix-tail shape and tight, round and straight strands. The leaves are thin and transparent with a jade-like color. After brewing in hot water, the soup color is tender yellow, the soup bottom is clear, and the bottom of the leaf unfolds like a flower, showing a jade-white color. Tasting Jing'an White Tea, the taste is fresh and aromatic, with the effect of generating fluids and quenching thirst, and the mouth feels refreshed after drinking.

5. Fuliang gongfu black tea

Furang Gongfu black tea, or Furang Hong for short, is a high-quality black tea. The picking time is usually three to four days before the rainy season, and the standard picking time is one bud, two or three leaves. The dried tea is tight and thin, with sharp edges and remarkable white hairs, dark and moist in color. After brewing, the aroma of the tea is as sweet as honey, and the soup color is red and transparent.
